Top Surgery

Female to Male transexual chest surgery. The reduction or removal of the female breast tissue to create a male-appearing chest. Depending on the original size, this surgery may be done through simple liposuction, minimally invasive keyhole incision, or double incision mastectomy, with or without nipple grafting.

I started my physical transition from female to male with testosterone injections in 2000, but was unable to have my top surgery until five years later.

Surgery that alters the size of the chest for gender-affirming purposes. While this can be used for procedures that either reduce or increase breast tissue, it more commonly refers to FTM/FTN procedures. In this case, a commonly desired result is to have a more masculine-appearing chest. There are several forms of surgery that can achieve this. You do not have to be a specific gender to have top surgery.

My friend Aspen just got top surgery. They can't wait until they're fully healed.
