sun and moon sapphics

Similar to the red and blue gays trope, sun and moon sapphics refer to a (usually romantic) relationship dynamic between two sapphic individuals with opposing personalities. Their color schemes/character designs usually reflect these major differences. And a lot of times these characters follow a “enemies to lovers” plot line but this is not the majority.

The sun sapphic (that usually follows the blue gay personality trope) is typically someone with a sunny, cheery, heroic, extroverted, and optimistic personality, while the moon sapphic is their opposite.

Also commonly classified as a red gay, the moon sapphic is usually a dark, pessimistic, mysterious, introverted, and temperamental personality type that can clash with their sun sapphic.

*these characteristics are not always the same and can vary depending on the ship+one person could be both a sun & moon sapphic*
