Staytionship

The cohabitation of two people after a break-up. This dynamic often requires a comfortable sofa, extra pillows, awkward eye contact, and multiple Snuggies.

After a date: I had a great time tonight, but I can't invite you up. I broke up with my boyfriend a month ago, but we have an ongoing staytionship. We are seeing it through the last month of our lease. Plus, we can't compromise on a custody schedule for Herman, our puggle.
