A dressage training technique, also known as LDR (Low, Deep, and Round), where the horse's head is pinned to its neck by the rider. AKA torture. The Dutch are really good at doing this to their horses, and the judges are blind to the fact that they are.
It is debated that Totilas was trained with rollkur. However, tension, especially in his passage, tend to support the fact that perhaps this was true.
