Resync

The act of removing the sound from a video, usually a music video, and replacing it with a different song that still fits the video, but in an unintended and comedic way.

Person 1: "Dude, I noticed that the song 'Lovefool' by The Cardigans has the same beat and chord progression to Scar's 'Be Prepared' from the Lion King!"
Person 2: "You should resync that and upload it to YouTube!"

Person 1: "Dude, I just muted the 1983 Scarface trailer and played 'Don't Stop Believin'' by Journey over it! It fit in the most hilarious way!"
Person 2: "That would make a great resync!"
