Phillips Exeter Academy

Phillips Exeter Academy is a boarding school in Exeter, New Hampshire of approximately 1,000 students. Regarded as the most prestigious high school in the country, most notably for academics, Phillips Exeter Academy is renowned worldwide for its unique teaching method, “The Harkness Table.” The principal is based off the idea that the students are of such a high intellect that they are able to teach each other, and thus the teacher of the class simply acts as a moderator for the brilliant discussion which occurs. In simpler terms, the students are so smart they teach themselves and don’t need a teacher to tell them what to do.

Students of PEA, known as Exonians, have an infamous rivalry with the students of Phillips Academy Andover, another East coast boarding school. Founded a few years earlier and with a slightly larger student body, Andover is normally considered the age old back up, or “safety school” to Exeter. There are many examples of the clashing between the two. Exeter Red/Andover Blue Exeter wins football, basketball, track…/Andover wins hockey Exeter accepts the most brilliant minds of the world/Andover accepts George W. Bush

In essence, Exeter is the school for the distinctive minds of the United States and beyond. Unfortunately, Andover, and many of the East coast boarding schools, remain places for the children of the pompous rich to attend and survive on the graces of their parents. Exeter alumni continue to make innumerable contributions to ...
the world, be it donating a stadium to a lesser school such as Andover, or something as simple as the environmental contributions of alumnus Gifford Pinchot.
My son applied to Phillips Exeter Academy but was not accepted. So we’ll just end up sending him to Andover. I hope he doesn't come out too screwd up.

The boy, described as “apish, moronic, alcoholic, and masturbated too often,” was a graduate of Phillips Academy Andover. While enjoying his birthday present of a position as “President of the United States,” he choked on a pretzel and was sent to the finest hospital in the land where an Exeter doctor watched over him

Phillips Exeter Academy

A secondary co-educational boarding school which takes all those who were not accepted to Phillips Academy Andover and pretends like they are better. The Exonian student body is made up of pompous, unhappy, and boring individuals with an average amount of school pride, only because of their odd sense of horrific and over-competetive rivalry. They tend to sneak around slipping in snide comments about how their school is number one, when everyone knows that Andover is better, has been here longer, and has no weird obsession with the "Harkness table." In all honesty, Exeter is a fine school, but so is Andover and many of the Andover - Exeter kids are actually friends, and there are even some Andover-Exeter families, but there are some Exonians who take the rivalry too seriously and are overly mean and aggressive. In conclusion, Exeter is fine, sure, it'll get you somewhere but Andover will always be number one.
Bill from Connecticut: I went to Phillips Exeter Academy!
Chick he's trying to pick up: Cool beans...

Claire from Singapore: I went to Andover!
Guy she's trying to impress: Will you marry me?
Claire: Das right.
A toe rag was originally a foot wrapping used, since mediaeval times up until the mid-nineteenth century, to protect the foot from chafing by boots or shoes. As these were, quite literally, rags they weren’t usually washed, and so with use they became very smelly until they were thrown away. Because of the similarity in smell, toe rag also became the name applied to dried, salted cod or other things with a strong, unpleasant, fishy smell. It didn’t take that long before the name was applied to someone who was an obnoxious, unpleasant OIC.
1 “Socks! Those aren’t socks you smelly git, they’re toe rags!”
2 “What have you been cooking? Smells like toe rag!”
3 “I can smell ‘er fanny from ‘ere, proper toe rag.”
4 That Heale Malcolm is a right toe rag.

Eternity leave

When some resigns or retires from a job, they are on "eternity leave". This can also refer to someone who has passed away, especially someone who worked somewhere for a long time, retired/resigned, then passed away later.
Oh I'm sorry, you didn't know that Kelly is on eternity leave? She resigned and moved to Hawaii!

With regrets I would like to inform you that my boss is officially on eternity leave. I will never see or hear them again. Ever.

The ability girls and women have developed to hold several items at once in one hand. The skill has been developed due to the lack of pockets in women's clothing.
I thought she'd need multiple trips to carry her phone, keys, wallet, and Starbucks to her car since she needed the other hand to open the door, but she used her impressive girl grip to carry everything in one hand.
