a discipline of mountain biking originated in vancouver's north shore. northshore riding takes place in the woods, on elevated, often extremely narrow wooden constructs such as "adirondack ladders" and "hamster wheels." a typical northshore bike has 6.5" travel front and rear, 26" wheels, and beartrap pedals.
