(verb) / (noun) A lukewelshe is the opposite of a spendthrift. A lukewelshe will immediately spend any amount of money they receive upon completely unnecessary and frivolous items, despite highly necessary and important liabilities or expenses. A lukewelshe cannot differentiate between the terms lend and borrow.
Example 1:
Friend of Lender: hey did John repay you that $570 he borrowed for his dental work
Lender: Nawh, he bought a toy Mandalorian Helmet instead.
Friend of Lender: wow sounds like you got totallly lukewelshed man.
Example 2:
Guy 1: Hey, Josh finally paid me back the $35 I lent him last week.
Guy 2: ha he just borrowed $35 off me earlier!
Guy 1: Ah we've been lukewelshed!
