lingocide

Destruction of Standard American English with bastardized silly made up words. Fo'shizzy. Should be punishable by Sister Mary Catherine using a ruler on your knuckles and at least some time incarcerated.
Heaving moobs and a sweaty lip, Jason glanced about slit-eyed, hunched down and committed the lingocide, furtively, deliberately.

linguicide

Used in linguistics, Speakers of a language start to use another language to the point where it starts to be used in the home and/or the next generation or subsequent generations do not learn the language. When the last speaker of a language dies so does the language. That language can never be heard again in a natural setting.
In California alone, linguicide is committed yearly. It's such a shame!
