He was nicknamed after he became one of the most hated former ministers of Bangladesh, Obaidul Kader. He became immensely popular for his unique dialogues and distinctive style of speech delivery. His outfit was largely inspired by Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, which eventually made his overall appearance resemble a কাউয়া (a type of black bird found mostly in Asia). As a result, everyone calls him by this term.

Yesterday kauamontri visited our construction site and told "She has made us stand taller".
