hiss and bite it

An innuendo or command, “hiss” referring to the hissing sound that comes out of one’s mouth during an attempt to keep quiet during intimacy, “bite it”referring to biting down on something for the same reason, so as to be satisfied stealthily or without being overheard; to keep quiet during climax. Does not have to be used exclusively in sexual situations, can also be used as a cheeky clap back. Another meaning is to tell a liar to die, “hiss” referring to a snake and “bite it” referring to big one, or dying.

Primary Meaning: climax quietly, a hushed fucking, a quiet little death

Alternate Meanings: hush, pipe down, be quiet, bite your tongue, piss off, get fucked, get wrecked, grin and bear it, tough, get through something intense without making any noise, quit playing, to tell a liar to stop lying and die, a quiet big death

Alternate Spellings/Variations: hiss, hissing, hissed, bite it, bite this
I successfully snuck my girlfriend in last night, but had to hiss and bite it so we wouldn’t get caught.

The fifth time Jackson complained to me about his flat soda, I told him hiss and bite it or order a new one.

My husband was getting noisy as he reached his limit. I handed him a corner of the blanket. “Hiss, babe. Bite this.” I whispered, not wanting to be busted by his parents during our Thanksgiving visit.

“Give me top.” Tyler said as we kissed in the empty public restroom. I smirked. “Hiss and bite it then. It echoes in here and I’ll stop if you’re loud.”

“Your shirt looks odd, Amethyst. You can’t possibly be wearing that to the club.” Said Beth. “Oh bite it, Beth. It’s supposed to go like this.” Replied Amethyst.

I passed my roommate’s room on my way to make some coffee and heard what sounded like snake. I decided to go to Starbucks and give them some privacy instead of listening to them hiss and bite it.

When I fell off of my bike, I heard a cracking in my leg. I screamed in agony as my friends drove me to the ER. “I can’t take this pain!” I cried. Jenifer kept it real with me. “You’re gonna have to hiss and bite it ‘til we get to the hospital.”

“Ah-sss, ah-sss…” Derek hissed as he finished.

The grindset is a contemporary ideology of self-exploitation disguised as strength, deeply tied to the aesthetics of the “sigma male” and to new digital forms of patriarchy. It promotes the idea that human worth depends on productivity, economic success, absolute emotional control, and the ability to work endlessly, turning vulnerability, rest, community, and tenderness into signs of weakness. Beneath its rhetoric of discipline and power often lies a profound inability to relate healthily to pain, fragility, and human interdependence.
“That’s the grindset, brother. While weak men sleep and complain, sigma males stay disciplined, work in silence, suppress emotions, and build power while everyone else wastes time chasing comfort.”
