Gyroid 

A dancing statue-thing that comes with your house in Animal Crossing. It looks sort of like a cross between a cactus and a fire-hydrant. They can come in different variations and be put in your house. They can also make really annoying/really cool noises if you turn them on.

Jake, why do you feel the need to put all of your annoying Gyroids in one room and turn them on all at once?

A beautiful mathematical surface which divides all of 3-space into two disjoint, interpenetrating, chiral regions. It is a triply periodic minimal surface.

The complement of the gyroid is a beautiful structure with many Y-shaped junctions.

groid noise

any variety or varieties of the incessant, unintelligible "music" that is greatly appreciated by the urban population and those desiring to be part of said culture. it can be recognised by it's it's spoken and at times rapid fire delivery vs the conventional singing of the lyrics as seen in most others forms of music. it is performed by both genders. the lyrical content typically consists of objectifying the female gender, copious references to illegal drug use and various methods of getting money, often of the the illegal variety and vulgar sexual content.

Billy: "dude, you hear that new Dr. Dre album? it's dope, man! i been waiting 2 years since his last album!"
Chris: "dude, you know who you're talking to? look at me! i'm powder's cousin. i don't listen to that groid noise". i'm rockin' that new Alan Jackson album. that's the stuff you should be listening to. that guy makes real music and plays an instrument."

1) A disparaging term representing the unbridled anger of an out-of-control African-American male of the lowest tier of socioeconomic classing.

2) More broadly, the rage of any member of the human species exhibiting said anger.

Etymology: A portmanteau of (ne)gro and (ste)roid rage

Most Groids reside in large urban areas, concentrated in the inner city/ghetto type environment. Known to smoke weed in copious amounts, these pavement apes also consume vast quantities of malt liquor beverages like Colt45 & Olde English 800, as well as Remy Martin and Hennessy Cognac. These creatures are prolific breeders, often procreating as early as 9 years of age.

Cruising down Broad Street Friday afternoon, we observed a large herd of wild Groids making a major ruckus outside of the Crown Fried Chicken store. Smashed windows and drumsticks everywhere.
