Green Shorts Day

On May 9th everyone dresses in green shorts or pants to celebrate National Green Shorts Day. Green Shorts day was founded by Greta and Rylan at Osseo Senior High School on May 9th 2022.

Greta: “Tomarrow’s Green Shorts day, don’t forget!”
Rylan: “Which pair of green shorts should I wear?”
Abby: “OMG the creators of Green Shorts Day are so cool!!”

Presumably borrowed from botantical terminology, this term is being used to highlight bright spots in a failing economy... analogous to new growth among a wasteland of dead plants and weeds.
