Person 1: What are you doing tonight?

Person 2: Was going to go to the pub with the lads, but going for a romantic meal with the missus.

Derived from the word goive, goif is a means to express one's disinterest in something or someone. The original word, goive, was coined by students at Winchester College, once spread, the word goive was changed to goif by students at Charterhouse school wanting to "recoin" the word as their own.

- You know that wigan won on the weekend?
- Goive!(goif)

As a story bores you more and more shout goive/goif. They will more than likely stop talking.
