a picture of an exotic foreign locale, made using a camera and shared through the internet, usually for the purposes of reminding people back home in bad weather just how unlucky they are. Less commonly, may also apply to images of newly-acquired significant others.

Canadian spelling: "Gloatograph".

Short form: gloto

That January, Mike and Kerri eloped to Hawaii, where they posted many glotographs of Maui sunsets on Facebook, much to the chagrin of their jealous friends in Calgary.

A photograph taken and shared on social media with the sole purpose of making others feel jealous. Pictures depicting wonderful and aspirational life circumstances are typical of the genre eg. skiing holidays, new sports cars, plates of Michelin starred food etc

Geolography

Geolography is a combination of Geography and Geology! It is also what you would call your thesis/essay if it is about geography and geology. Geolography is also what happens when a geographer has sex with/ study’s with/ or falls in love with a geologist and vice versa.

Student: “hey teach! About my essay it wound up being more about geolography then geography, sorry ‘bout that!”

Geography teacher: “that’s fine, speaking of geolography I just remembered I have a date with mister Johnson I’ll need to see myself out”

Student: “wow I didn’t know you were gay!”

Geography teacher: “I didn’t either until a couple days ago!”
