food-a-lanche

Derived from the word avalanche, a food-a-lanche is what happens when someone opens the door to a refrigerator and food containers tumble out onto the floor. This situation commonly arises when a refrigerator is packed full and items have been carelessly stacked.
I went to get a fresh beer, and when I opened the fridge, *BAM* I was caught in a food-a-lanche. A jar of pickles bounced off my toe, and I had to pick up a bunch of ketchup packets and leftovers. One of these days I've gotta rearrange all the stuff on the top shelf.
