Ursprünglich geht es darum sich im ganzen August an folgende Regeln zu halten:

- Nicht onanieren
- Vor 3 Uhr nachts ins Bett gehen
- Nicht rasieren
- Einen Kalender verwenden
- Nicht kiffen
