Get the Emotronic mug.A portmanteau of emotion and electronica. A term, not a genre, used to label electronic music that has a melodramatic tone to it. It has nothing to do with the emo rock genre, or the emo scene.
Most of Boards of Canada's music could be termed emotronica. I recommend Oirectine and Dawn Chorus, specifically.
