Elimination

An epic game played on a single wall that probably originated somewhere in Encinitas, California. Several people start off at first, hitting the red ball (about the size of a tether ball) against the wall. The server chooses order. The ball must bounce (only once) before hitting the wall, then the next person catches or hits it after no or one bounce(s). The server can call certain things, such as Sudden Death (only hits). One is out if they fail to hit the ball or follow any of the other rules on their turn. Last standing wins.

In some forms of the game, players are allowed to rainbow (go under the ball) for their turn.

A version of a game called wallball, which is the same as Elimination except its only two people.
Elimination is the best game invented that you can play on a wall.

A character in an elimination based show (typically object shows) who's only real purpose is to be eliminated before the important characters, in order to give the important characters more time on the show to develop.

most extreme elimination challenge

1) American version of Japanese gameshow "Takeshi's Castle," now featuring two mis-matched teams pit against each other in this bastion of low-brow comedy. Features hosts Kenny Blankenship and Vic Romano, field reporter Guy LeDouche, field marshall Captain Tenneal, massive amounts of mystery sludge, and repeated and frequent use of the word "Babaganoosh". Abbreviated MXC.
"Hey, someone find his baba. We can reattach it to his ganoosh." - Kenny Blankenship, about Yella Babaganoosh's most painful elimination.

most extreme elimination challenge

A long time ago (I believe the 80s) there was a game show in Japan called Takehashi's Castle. 100 people would try to take over a castle, but to get to it they'd have to go through obstacles, most of which were extremely dangerous and extreme, and if you lost the game you were eliminated.

Years later, Spike TV took the show and turned it into a show called Most Extreme Elimination Challenge, or MXC. They dubbed it badly with funny, often perverted commentary by the two host Vic Romano and Ken Blankenship, and edited out the prizes and things like that.

West Midlands slang word for rockers, bikers, greasers etc. In the late 1980s it was used by the UK music press to refer to a specific scene centered around the bands Pop Will Eat Itself and Crazyhead. The term never found favour with readers of 'the inkies' (Sounds, Melody Maker and the still extant NME) and was soon dropped. Now often used in predominantly working-class areas of the midlands and the north to mean someone who listens to rock-derived music and/or dresses in a manner that suggests they affiliate themselves with rock music of some kind.
