Indian word for illegal homemade moonshine alcohol produced mainly in rural areas of India, where other types of alcohol are prohibitively expensive or banned. Mainly produced in Punjab, Haryana, Bihar and Uttar Pradesh. Also frequently drunk in Gujarat where alcohol is officialy banned.
