A corehead would typically wear a hat, have ear gauges and have a superfluous amount of tattoos. The metal community has a love and hate relationship towards these individuals. Coreheads have been ostracized due to the stigma perpetuated by the metal community. Some live a straight edge lifestyle while others love to participate in a recreational leisure. While keeping a balance of metal and hardcore (this excludes post-hardcore and hardcore), breakdowns, blast beat drumming, high and low fry screaming, melodic riffs, pig squeals, emotional lyrics, and down tuned guitars are mostly enjoyed by the common corehead.
