chowder effect

(often called "unmoving plaid") An animation technique popularized by the cartoon Chowder where a character’s clothing texture stays completely still while the character moves underneath it. Instead of the fabric moving with the body, the character appears to “slide” through a fixed pattern—like plaid or stripes—creating a surreal, window-like or wormhole effect.

Crowder effect

The Crowder effect is a phenomenon whereby any attempt to sound intelligent or humorous has the unintended consequence of making yourself appear continuously more and more stupid. It is named after Steven Crowder.
