Chanterculture is a counterculture dominated by white young male activists on the 4chan, 8chan, reddit and similar platforms. The term was used since 2015 on buzzfeed to describe NEET participants in the Gamergate controversy. In 2019 the term was used in conjunction with the yang gang.

And because they hail largely from the chanterculture meme swamps of Instagram, Reddit, Twitter, and 4chan, they have plastered social media with pro-Yang content.

Anti-Racism Counterculture 

The word for the enivitable counterculture that all this #BlackLivesMatter stuff will spread due to it being everywhere, that will only serve to better spread racism. Sometimes its best to forgive and forget.

When something that appeals to those who'd rather do their own thing is sold by a corporation. A textbook example is Hot Topic appealing to the punk/emo/metal scene by selling shirts with "clever" sayings and emblems of punk bands that were big in the decade before. Another example would be pre-ripped jeans. When attemps to stand out are made easy by going to the mall, rather than actually embracing the counterculture itself.

An imaginary state of being. While many social groups define themselves as "counterculture" the only truly counterculture people are geeks, nerds, etc. The only true way to be counterculture is to smile kindly and sincerely at everyone and dress appropriately for the situation.

Noun refering to the mass of baby-boomers who, although not embracing the lifestyle of the previous counterculture (who took drugs in the 60's & 70's) suffer from symptoms that allow them to rationalize taking drugs in their 60's & 70's.

Daughter: "Hey, did you see how zonked Grandma was at the cookout? She was popping pain killers like M&Ms!"
Son-in-Law: "Yeah, she's a real card-carrying member of the Over-the-Counterculture - even though it's an AARP Discount Card!"
