When something occurs you have no control over and nothing/no one has direct responsibility for. Essentially there is no use fighting the situation because nothing is going to change it. Throw in the towel, give up
Basically a way to say your down to do something, or participate in something. You can also chalk yourself up as not down to do something. Imagine someone tallying up yes's & no's, and you're chalking yourself up for one or the other.
Kristoff: "So is Sangria Night still happening or what?"
