Carpháge

Borrowed French expression for 'cigarette-holder'. Generally hand-crafted from polished, dark wood or some imitation thereof
"Her carpháge was resting delicately between two fingers at her cheek, and even though the cigarette at the widened tip of the carpháge had been out for several moments now she drew it to her lips and gingerly bit down into the polished wood of the mouthpiece while she waited for my reply."
