Blaupunked. A state of being that describes a person who has permanently damaged hearing and lower tolerance for sustained loud
music. This is caused by years of partying, clubbing, playing electric guitar through an amp at full volume and in close proximity. A Blaupunked person defends against suffering further hearing loss, sound triggered pain, and triggers that cause ringing in the ears by investing in better audio
gear and refraining as much as possible from loud
music events and situations whether alone or in the company of others. Blaupunkedness, is a direct result of a lifetime of listening to
music at the
max volume and/or sticking their
head in a speaker cabinet in Euro clubs, or standing next to a guitar amp turned to 11. They are deemed to exist in a Blaupunked state.
