Blobification

A social fallacy in which two or more distinct things, usually things one detests, are lumped together into an imaginary "blob", making them appear to be one of the same. Common in apps like Tiktok.

(Also known as 'Blob fallacy'.)

Person 1: "man i really like (game)"
Person 2: "you should read (book), its amazing"
Person 3: "i hate both of these things, so i'm going to link them into my non-existent group of people I just made up (the 'blob') to make them appear the same, despite the obvious differences"
Person 4: "blobification final boss😭😭😭😭😭😭😭"
