It is the bittersweet moment when the advertisements start on cable television and you select the pause button on the remote of the digital recorder. This moment usually occurs right at a poignant time of what you are watching and you feel mad that you have to wait but glad that you can pause, wait and then forward pass the commercials and end up in real time.
While watching a dramatic movie and just when you will find out "who did it", the commercials come on, bad ones at that, and instead of having to watch them or hear them, you pause and listen to the quietness of life, meditate, or converse with your partner. Then you fast forward at triple time. Ahh, adpauseum.
