One of the creators of the RAT named BlackShades.NET (website bshades.eu), which was most notably found on hackforums.net. He was arrested around June in 2012 when he admitted to infecting people and stealing their credit card information on a website called carderprofit.cc

Little did he know it was being run by the FBI in a sting operation. He faces up to 20 years in prison. The BlackShades project continues to run without him.
