High loadings have punishing recoil - about five times that of a .30-06. Factory loads cost over $7 per round, making it very expensive to shoot. Way too overpowered for any animal on North American soil. Definitely wouldn't hurt to have one if you were ever stuck on Isla Nublar or Isla Sorna from Jurassic Park.
If ever traveling to a dinosaur theme park, bringing along a big bore rifle, let's say, a .460 Weatherby Magnum or .50 BMG for example, would be a very good idea.
