Weiss-Benioff

Amassing an enormous following and then collapsing under the weight of populary. (Particularly of television series)
1. Although "breaking bad" was a great example of the weiss-benioff effect, no show has collapsed under its own popularity quite a spectacularly as "Game of thrones."

2. I am watching this new show on Netflix. It is so good, but don't tell anyone. I don't want it to get weiss-benioffed.

3. The actors and producers on the show all want to leave and do movies. We are totally getting weiss-benioffed.

4. "The walking dead," due to some poor writing in early seasons thankfully avoided a weiss-benioff.

Benioff Weiss'd it

When something is going really well till the last minute, then you truly mess it up.

Like David Benioff and D. B. Weiss managed with the Game of Thrones series.
Person 1: "Hi man, it's been a while. how are you doing with your degree",

Person 2 "ahh I completely Benioff Weiss'd it"
