Vivumortus

Vivumortus, or Vivumortal, is a modern term in science fiction for something that is either both alive and dead, or neither alive or dead.

"Schrödinger's Cat is in a vivumortus state until you open it and collapse the wave function."

"A zombie is vivumortal; he might not be dead, but he's not alive either."
