The art of using social media to brag about outdoor adventures you never actually went on. A combination of "um" (hesitation) and "kayak" (because it sounds outdoorsy).

Can be used as a verb (to umiaq) or a noun (an umiaq post).
Sophie: "Check out my Insta! I'm totally crushing this mountain climb!"
Jake: "Dude, you're umiaqqing again. That's clearly the rock wall at Planet Fitness."

Umiah is a fun sassy female, so sweet and crazy. She shines with an inner light. Not afraid to stand up for herself and others. Strong in her convictions but open minded. So beautiful but she has no clue. Not concerned with the superficial. Will totally challenge you and probly win at any game. But smile and make jokes and have you laughing while she wins.
That girl umiah, she's so cute and crazy!

Traditionally a type of open-skin boat used by the Inuit.

In competitive scrabble, it’s a word that also doubles as an acronym for “U might initiate a call”, for strong scrabble players to flex word knowledge of all things on regular people with lives, anticipating that they’ll call that the word is bullshit because no one uses it in a conversation and then lose their turn as a result.
“I play UMIAC for 10 points!”

“What? That’s not even a real word! I call.”

“You fool, I knew you would initiate a challenge, not only is this a word, it’s slang for “U might initiate a call.”

“Omfg dude get a job no one uses these words in actual conversations, can’t you play something for fun ONE TIME?!”

An adjustment of UMIAC, a valid word in Scrabble, which is a term in the Scrabble community for “U might initiate a challenge”, preying on the inexperience of new players hoping they say UMIAC isn’t a word.

UMIACFI is for the Urban Dictionary version of Scrabble, meaning “U might initiate a challenge, fucking idiot”.
“What? UMIACFI isn’t a word!”

“Yes it is, we’re playing Urban Dictionary Scrabble, remember? You lose your turn!”

“FUCK!”

West Midlands slang word for rockers, bikers, greasers etc. In the late 1980s it was used by the UK music press to refer to a specific scene centered around the bands Pop Will Eat Itself and Crazyhead. The term never found favour with readers of 'the inkies' (Sounds, Melody Maker and the still extant NME) and was soon dropped. Now often used in predominantly working-class areas of the midlands and the north to mean someone who listens to rock-derived music and/or dresses in a manner that suggests they affiliate themselves with rock music of some kind.
Some grebo passed with Sabbath playing on his stereo.
The Poppies are at no. 17? God, a grebo band in the charts!
