uglyware

Uglyware is Software that is designed to look nice and feature full, but lacks almost all useful functionality.

Uglyware is usually software that has been updated, but the update has removed most of the software's functionality.

Like how google changed it's mobile map version 6 software to version 7 and actually removed totally necessary features just to make it look more like an Apple made program. Also the update had a total lack of intuitiveness... Like how they removed the option for zoom buttons on mobile maps (where it is needed) but not desktop maps(where it's not needed). And now you have to use gestures but the gestures make it impossible to follow the map while driving. Unless you like lobster clawing or two finger tapping down swipe then drag...to manipulate the map when you just wanted to scoot it over a bit and zoom in.

The first time I experienced Uglyware was when itunes updated and I no longer had an option to view my music in a grid ordered by artist and album. but now there was tiled view but it was as ugly as a windows 8 start menu..
Great they updated now i have uglyware because this shit is broken..but it looks prettier..

PLEASE GOOGLE FIX YOUR UGLYWARE!

abandonware

n. software that is no longer sold or supported by the original publisher / developer, often found as free downloads on the internet because it cannot be obtained elsewhere. Not legal, but often seen as morally acceptable because the company that made it is no longer selling the title, nor releasing it as freeware, therefore abandonware is "keeping the game alive", so to speak.
Doom II is not abandonware because id still sells it, while The Incredible Machine is not sold, therefore is abandonware.
