Throwdown Thursday
Much like that of Thirsty Thursday, it is a day to enjoy spirits and other intoxicating substances to prepare for the coming Friday generally with a group of friends you would spend Friday with. It may also include a sort of fight in the backyard or during the party hence the other meaning of "Throwdown." Lastly, everyone must throwdown some money for the booze, it's a BYOB without the hassle.

To watch many episodes of Game of Thrones, following/investing in a noble character's rise to a climactic moment in the storyline, only to see their fate completely ruined within 30 seconds by a sudden, random and unforseen turn of events.
"Wow, for the 6th time now, I was totally Game of Throned by that character I love being killed unexpectedly, in the most shocking way possible, just as he/she was about to do something great…"

Comes from the phrase "To throw down the gauntlet", which means to issue a challenge. In medieval times a knight would throw his armored glove, or gauntlet, at the feet of another knight to challenge him to combat. If the knight took up the gauntlet he accepted the challenge.

grebo
West Midlands slang word for rockers, bikers, greasers etc. In the late 1980s it was used by the UK music press to refer to a specific scene centered around the bands Pop Will Eat Itself and Crazyhead. The term never found favour with readers of 'the inkies' (Sounds, Melody Maker and the still extant NME) and was soon dropped. Now often used in predominantly working-class areas of the midlands and the north to mean someone who listens to rock-derived music and/or dresses in a manner that suggests they affiliate themselves with rock music of some kind.
