Theology of Resonance

Theology of Resonance (also known as Empathic Resonance) is the absolute brain-melting metaphysical law in the Abzuverse that turns divine suffering from a cheap dramatic trope into a literal, mechanical ecosystem disaster. It completely rejects standard fantasy settings where a god can be killed in a vacuum while the surrounding mortal world just happily clips along unchanged.
Because the cosmos runs on Sacred Naturalism, deities are treated as the conscious, living macro-frequencies that stabilize physical and ecological laws. Under the Theology of Resonance, when a divine being experiences agony or destruction, that trauma propagates like a violent wave through the entire universal network, physically curdling the local environment. If you inflict violence on a deity, you are quite literally dropping a toxic bomb into a planetary biome. The atmosphere turns to ash, localized geometry warps into suffocating non-linear shapes, and the surrounding mortal populations instantly face extreme, material devastation because the energetic anchor of their habitat has been violently ripped away.
"Wait, so when the rogue explorer stabbed the river goddess, she didn't just fade away into a sparkly cloud?"
"Not even close. The Theology of Resonance kicked in immediately. Her pain literally poisoned the entire waterway, causing the surrounding soil to undergo necrotic decay and starving out the entire continent."

Brought to public attention by Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein in the book on the fall of Richard Nixon, All The President’s Men, ratfucker was Nixon’s term for a political operative who sows chaos among opponents; an agent provocateur. It is thought to have originated among campus political rivalries at USC, and seems to have some usage in the US military.
Along with Nixon’s other ratfuckers, Roger Stone caused fights at otherwise peaceful Democratic Party protests to generate a false narrative that the Democrats were violent and dangerous.
