YOU may not have heard about the Truman show. so basically there's this TV studio and they ARE creating this entire fictional world for this one guy named Truman. Truman has no idea he's IN A TV SHOW and his entire world is a high-tech dome in Hollywood. Eventually, actors slipping up, and some technology malfunctioning convince him to TRY TO ESCAPE. It turns out that HUNDREDS OF PEOPLE ARE ROOTING FOR him, but few were ever able to get into the dome. If YOU hadn't known what the movie was before, now you have.
In the Truman show, the exit is at the edge of the dome, a few miles across the water.

The Truman Show

that moment of clarity when your go-to sex move doesn’t work and you start to realize that everyone you’ve ever been with has been faking it….
I went to the Truman Show last night with a girl from the bar; I executed my patented move, the Milwaukee Tootsie Pop and she pushed started laughing at me.

The Truman Show

51:48 in The Truman Show

At 51 minutes and 48 seconds (51:48) in 1998's "The Truman Show" starring Jim Carrey as the titular "Truman". Truman is almost at the climax of discovering that he lives within a television show of his entire life since birth. During a breakdown, Truman forcibly drives himself and his wife to the outskirts of their TV set town, only to encounter what appears to be a nuclear power plant meltdown. Within the scene, we see plant workers and hazmat operators adorning hazmat suits, resembling the Crewmates from the popular 2018 video game Among Us.

Fogey/fogy /fougi/ sl. (early 18C+, orig. Scot) old-fashioned, stuck-in-the mud.
Person with old fashioned ideas which he is unwilling to change: Come to the disco and stop being such an old fogey!
You think me an old fogeyand an old tory, his thoughtful voice said. I saw three generations since O’Connel’s time. I remember the famine. Do you know that the orange lodges agitated for repeal of the union twenty years before O’Connel did or before the prelates of your communion denounced him as a demagogue? You fenians forget some things. (James Joyce, Ulysses. Penguin Books,1992. p. 38)
