The Awakening of a Forgotten God
An epic, high-concept mythological fantasy universe and alternate continuity lorebook within the Abzuverse (Abzu & Anki) multiverse. Reengineering Ancient Greek myth into a grand psychological and political drama, its central premise is that Khaos is the true, primordial creator of the cosmos, but was deliberately sealed beneath Mount Olympus and systematically erased from history by the victorious Olympian gods. To cement his absolute sovereign legitimacy after overthrowing the Titans, Zeus engineered an official narrative framing the current hierarchy as the ultimate, eternal structure of reality, reclassifying the raw creative origin of existence as a chaotic, dead void.
The core conflict triggers when this ancient primordial seal begins to deteriorate, causing the suppressed truth to leak back into reality. Manifestations ripple across realms: mortals experience recurring dreams of unmapped temples; blank spaces in ancient scrolls spontaneously fill with lost inscriptions; and sacred relics begin to violently react to their forgotten master. The Olympians immediately fracture over the crisis. While Zeus uses his star-forged Thunderbolt to suppress info and maintain the civilizational lie, independent minds like Athena (armed with her fear-reflecting shield, the Aegis) uncover structural contradictions in divine records.

Meanwhile, Apollo detects cosmic anomalies through his solar-strung lyre, Hecate senses boundary breakdowns at the crossroads, and Hermes tracks restless spirits. Extending down to the human realm, mortal heroes like Achilles and Patroclus, alongside the royal succession crisis of the Kingdom of Aegion (House of Lysandros), become external, un-brainwashed witnesses to a grand supernatural conspiracy, forcing both gods and men to ask if their entire civilization is built upon a historical lie.
"The Awakening of a Forgotten God totally fixes Greek fantasy tropes. Instead of Zeus just being a powerful king, he's basically the head of a massive spiritual cover-up. He buried the literal creator of the universe, Khaos, underneath Mount Olympus just to pretend his own throne was eternal. Now that the seal is cracking, the entire pantheon is spiraling into a cold war over the truth."
