Tetanised

Transitive verb. Used in figurative speech. Parallelism with the medical condition known as Tetanus. To be tetanised relate to having once physical body being paralyzed due to an overwhelming emotion.

He was tetanised with fear when he discovered that he had to jump out of a plane.
