Technosonder

The feeling of sudden realisation that the technological devices and objects we use carry something of the humans involved in their conception, design and manufacture. Not only that, they carry something of the humans who have used them before us, like a tangible history written in aesthetics, construction and deterioration.
In a society obsessed with the new and pristine, technosonder reminds us of the treasure to be found in the old, classic and used.

TechnoBoner

When a person gets so excited about technology, or nerdy stuff that they get an erection/hard-on/boner from the digital lust of new technology. Usually related to new or unreleased technology, televisions, i-phones, zunes, hard drives (thats what she said), etc. When in a public setting the term Technoboner can be shortened to "TB" in order to hide your heightened state and preserve your dignity. . . Unless you have a huge erection in which case your screwed.
I can't believe how incredible this new Zune HD is with it's touchscreen, HD output, HD radio and intuitive software. Every time i use it i totally get a Technoboner.

technocondriac

Someone who always assumes that something they have done is the cause of any technical problem that arises.

Never assumes that a bug, crash, communications outage or any other external issue could cause a problem and instead always blames ones self.

Often n00bs are technocondriacs until they gain a certain level of confidence.
n00b: Omg, I broke all of MSN!
g44k: No, the system is down again, you technocondriac.

technosober

(Noun) To be technology sober, or in other words to refrain from using technology after it has become an obsession or addiction in ones life. (Verb) to go through a process of weening off a technology addiction such as Iphones, ipads, Computers, TV, Xbox, wii (if your like 5 years old, which is pretty sad to be reading this if you are), playstation, the internet, facebook, twitter, youtube, and oh yah myspace I guess for whoever still uses that. To go technology sober is a big decision in ones life since practically everything in the world revolves around technology, so it is clear as to why so many people have this addiction. One might want to check into rehab. Even interventon has run TV shows on people with such addictions.
Caring friend: "Why dont you get your ass out of the chair and off of Hulu, stop collection unemployment, and go find a job!!!!"

The striver is an interesting phenomenon that is seen across college campuses. In essence, the striver is an over-achiever who comes from a working or middle class family. He may be an immigrant. He may have been a slacker in HS who was "born again" into an academic wunderkind. Or he may just be an over-achiever who is keeping at it.

The striver is willing to sacrifice his social life at the expense of Phi Beta Kappa and Summa Cum Laude. The striver is the guy who stays at the library long after you are gone. The striver is the guy who takes 30 credits/semester and considers anything below an A/4.0 failure. The striver doesn't work on campus, he is too busy finding ways to pad his resume instead of working retail or workstudy. The striver lets his grades pay his education by applying to ten scholarships a year.

The striver is a future Soros/Fullbright/Rhodes/Gates/Marshall/etc. fellow. The striver lives to study. For the striver, their fun comes from the rewards they expect to receive in return for their diligence. Be it Law School, B-School, academia, or politics. The striver seeks to find the American Dream through academic success.
Anthony was a striver. He transfered from a TTT to an IVY and graduated in 2 years. He studied his ass off and went to Penn Law. He got a Biglaw offer. But lost it all because of an unmoderated mesasgeboard.

Successful strivers:
- Barack Obama
- Harold Koh

SkyPesos

Delta SkyMiles, also known as SkyPesos, is the frequent flyer program of Delta Airlines. It has a very poor value and hard to use.
- I'm trying to book an award flight to Paris, but I only have 70,000 SkyPesos
- Just forget about it, you don't have enough SkyPesos to fly anywhere.
