Shin Splints

A pain below your knee from too much running - its a pain in the ass. You get it mostly from Track, and having too much sex. Soon to be classified as an STD.
Coach: There's a difference from injuries and shin splints. Suck it up.
Runner: Fuck you. Injuries - you can't run. Shin splints, you can't run, but you run anyway, until you get an injury.

A term for "shitter cloints" in the online phone game of Golf Clash. Due to demanding kids, nagging spouses, and numerous other real world crap a clasher has to deal with on a daily basis, a common place to play is on the shitter, far away from all these worldly distractions. So when you happen to win a match while dropping a deuce, you accumulate shoints. It is theorized that most cloints earned in the game are in fact shoints.
Did you see all the cloints Law racked up yesterday? I bet he cancelled all of his appointments for the day and decided to just rack up shoints. There's no better place to play Golf Clash than on the shitter!

shin splints

The most painful and often ongoing injury one can get- and usually developed from running too much. XC kids- they understand.

Ice and resting and lots of food and hours watching mindless television and popping Advil is required for their healing, and sometimes that doesn't even work. But only cross country runners can truly understand and handle the pain of shin splints.
Cross country girl- Pete, I can't wait to see you at the XC championships!

Cross country guy- I don't know if I'm gonna make it, Ashley.. I have some real bad shin splints!

Cross country girl- suck it up, and run like a real man. And take some Advil for your shin splints too.

Shin Splints

One of the most irritating and painful injuries an athlete can get. Usually a result of overworked, tight calf and shin muscles, shin splints truly suck. Pain ranges anywhere from a dull throb to a sharp piercing pain, and can be found from the knees to the ankles and all in between. Running on shin splints can lead to fractures of the tibia. Shin splints are a vicious cycle; you overwork your muscles, you rest them to heal, your muscles weaken. Those weak muscles and shins (now splint-free) are more susceptible to shin splints because of their weakness. It can go on forever.
-"Dude i've had shin splints for like 3 years now, I just can't fucking beat them! Now i can't play drums or play ultimate or do anything i ever enjoyed doing. Life's a bitch-and-a-half."
- "Damn son! FUCK SHIN SPLINTS!!"
adj: having strong resemblance to an undercooked duck with triple stigmata.

Back when I lived in upstate new york

A meaningless, unimpressive, self-serving introduction. An indicator that the story about to be shared will be pointless and dumb.
Back when I lived in upstate new york, I also had to park on the street - on two occasions, we got enough snow, mixed with just the right plowing, that my car was lifted off the ground from so much snow being jammed underneath it.

Sister: This meeting was to discuss the rough draft of my essay, where we discussed the subsidiary questions I added in my rough draft. We also discussed the relationship between my main title and the real-life situations I chose to use in my essay. We discussed the structure of my essay as well, specifically the Math AOK section and how it relates to the contradiction of the title. This second meeting was particularly helpful in discussing the implications of my essay claims and how to apply the title across various areas of knowledge. There were many sections of the essay that could have been cut down in wordiness and the ways of knowing required further and more in-depth analysis.
