New book smell

That certain smell you sense from purchasing a new book. New book smells usually come from the woodsy pulp of the paper.

I would describe it to smell like a bitter fireplace. The smell is usually very satisfying to avid book readers (especially me)
Person 1: Hey I just bought this new book from Amazon dude!!

Person 2: Wow bro, does it have that new book smell?

Person 1: Yeah dude, wanna smell?

Person 2: Hell Yeah!

The Smell of Old Books

This term is used by a category of people who have the best interest at heart but are terribly pretentious. They usually like to use it to show you how much they love to read. These people also like to say that they enjoy Fall, because it is perfect "sweater weather" and they can curl up on the couch and read whilst drinking herbal tea. Favorite movies of this category include "Rent" and "Across the Universe." Favorite music includes light alternative rock and classical. These people can sometimes be mistaken for "hipsters", but they are not because they neither smoke nor drink. You can often spot these people at museums of modern art quietly discussing the deeper meaning of a hammer glued to a toilet with pink water. These people also enjoy having deep conversations, which help them to show off their vast knowledge. They also love Jane Austen novels. These people are usually females who are often mistaken for lesbians due to their disinterest in sexual relationships until age 30. These people dream of attending college in Cambridge or Oxford due to their lifelong love of anything English.
(At the library)
Lucy: I just LOVE the smell of old books! Don't you?
Jim: Indeed. Wonderful sweater-weather by the way, isn't it?
Lucy: Yes, it is. I REALLY feel like some Chai tea.
Jim: Yes, sounds lovely.

Stealthie

when you're holding up your phone and making faces at it, as though you are taking a selfie, but you're really taking a picture of the person across from you or the wall or anything else that seems interesting but you don't want to be caught dead taking a picture of.

This action is often made more convincing by wiggling the eyebrows or opening the mouth, to pretend you're trying to get a Snapchat filter to work.
FRIEND A: "Did you just take a stealthie of me?"

FRIEND B (turning phone around): "no I was just using snapchat's new filter, see?"

The grindset is a contemporary ideology of self-exploitation disguised as strength, deeply tied to the aesthetics of the “sigma male” and to new digital forms of patriarchy. It promotes the idea that human worth depends on productivity, economic success, absolute emotional control, and the ability to work endlessly, turning vulnerability, rest, community, and tenderness into signs of weakness. Beneath its rhetoric of discipline and power often lies a profound inability to relate healthily to pain, fragility, and human interdependence.
“That’s the grindset, brother. While weak men sleep and complain, sigma males stay disciplined, work in silence, suppress emotions, and build power while everyone else wastes time chasing comfort.”
