To put a phone on silent, mainly when there is a large amount of calls or notifications taking place from an unwanted source. An act of ignorance.

The act of hunting for sluts for one night stands. Shlunting is usually performed in dark, loud, crowded bars that play the kind of terrible music that guys will only tolerate because it attracts sluts.

Jacques: What are you doing tonight?
Pete: I'm going shlunting at Infernos.
Jacques: On a Tuesday?
Pete: Yeah, bro. Shlunting is my life.

Silencing Psychology 

The tendency for the field of psychology to remain silent about the internal practices that silence diverse viewpoints, and frames of reference through which phenomena may be understood. Many of these tendencies come from practices that claim to be "Critical," and without contest.

The professor was practicing silencing psychology as he professed hard and fast viewpoints that increased discomfort among his students, leading to their total shut down in the class discussion.

Splending is an extension of the adjective word splendid only with a little more zing and ding!
