RAMocalypse

The catastrophic, artificial skyrocketing of PC memory (DRAM) and storage (SSD/HDD) prices. It occurs when tech conglomerates (with money that they don't have) hoard manufacturing capacity to produce high-bandwidth memory for Artificial Intelligence data centers, leaving everyday PC builders, gamers, and homelab nerds completely broke.

“Hey man, did you finally upgrade that home server to 64GB of RAM?”

“Are you crazy? In this RAMocalypse? I went to check prices on PCPartPicker and almost had a heart attack. I'm just going to keep crying over my 16GB setup until the AI bubble bursts.”
