the nice part of your brain that counteracts the conscience and tells you to enjoy yourself. A good proscience will not only open new doors of exciting, dangerous thrills, but actually convince you it's safe.
While my roommate spent spring break "studying" because he had a conscience, my proscience let me blow the rest of my saved up tuition having the time of my life in Vegas.
