A square area of land often surrounded by a pole fence. A Pot-off is located next to a school field and is usually attended by a group of year 9 (and 1 year 10) student. Anyone who is not welcome in the Pot-Off will often hear large groups of people shouting "OI, GET OUT OUR POT-OFF"

"make a decision." This phrase is most commonly used towards a person or group whom the speaker feels are behaving indecisively. Often occurs in tense situations where the speaker believes a quick decision is necessary or urgent. Sometimes delivered as "life advice."
"Shit or get off the pot. Don't just sit there waiting for a better option, or hoping someone will fix it for you."

Used to describe something good. It is similar to saying something is "off the hook."

Hurry up and make a decision. Usually used when some one is being really indecisive or is taking way to long to do something. Commonly refers to a decision where a commitment is evolved.
You've been engaged for 6 years, don't you think it's time you shit or get off the pot?

poop or get off the pot 

"Poop or get off the pot" is a more polite way of saying 'Shit or get off the pot.' It's not very eloquent but it gets the message across. My parents knew all the dirty words and phrases but would say things like 'did you just let off wind?' rather than 'fart'. Saying fart in our home whenI was young was not a good idea.
