Used to describe something good. It is similar to saying something is "off the hook."

Evan: What do you think of this sporting event we're attending?
Leroy: It's awesome - shit's off the pot.

Past tense
John: Oh man that movie was awesome!
Dave: Yeah, that shit was off the pot.
