Plastioslope

Plastioslope
noun
The gradual, cumulative increase in environmental and biological burden caused by plastic pollution — not a sudden collapse, but a slow uphill slide where life becomes harder, sicker, and more fragile over time.
Unlike a “plastic apocalypse” or “plastic wall,” the plastioslope describes how microplastics, chemical residues, and persistent waste quietly accumulate in ecosystems and bodies, steadily eroding resilience instead of causing immediate catastrophe.
Example:
“We didn’t hit a plastic wall — we’re climbing the plastioslope. That’s why everything feels slightly more broken every year.”
“We didn’t hit a plastic wall — we’re climbing the plastioslope. That’s why everything feels slightly more broken every year.”
