Pin-money originally means the allowance a woman receives from her husband to purchase pins and clothes. Later, the meaning extended to the small amount of expenditure that a woman sets aside for use.

She is doing a part-time job to earn pin-money.

Pin Money, extra household income, normally earned by the house wife in a part time cleaning or shop job, used to pay for extra's like holidays and special occasions.

Our pin money took us to Spain for two weeks last August.
