A great song with great lyrics written by Kurt Cobain. Pennyroyal Tea was used back in the 1400s by the Chinese in the Dang Dynasty. They gave it to the captives they had and the tea would act as a drug and the prisoner would tell the Chinese things they wanted to know. Thats why in the song Kurt says hes a liar and a thief.
